Summary of Business Case for Business Continuation Plan (BCP)
Companies provide services and products. Many or all depend on ICT facilities. Thus, it is prudent to have a process for the continuing provision of critical ICT services after disaster (eg. fire, storm, flood). This process is called Business Continuity Plan, BCP for short.
This document covers 4 aspects: 1. The Business Case, 2. The Business Continuation Plan (BCP) template and 3. The project plan template to implement the BCP. 4. One example of a Business Continuation Plan to continue business' IT functions after a disaster such as fire, flooding, explosion has struck parts of the company.
The BCP is typically created in coordination with leaders of business processes, department, section or other relevant parts of the business.
